I use it on days of high stress to silence the "doubtful voice" inside my head to give myself more confidence and clarity of thought.

Clary Sage Essential Oil Specifications:

Genus Species: Salvia sclarea
It is good to know the origin species of a plant when using and purchasing essential oils. Using the common name can result in confusing different sage oils
For instance, many times Clary sage oil is confused with the common sage (salvia officinalis). These are very different oils.

Remember, many companies may use a substitute species or a combination of species. These oils are low-grade for aromatic uses and do not contain the concentration needed for therapeutic health benefits

The flowers are used in the distillation process, which makes this oil rich in antioxidants.

Essential Oils & Radiation Treatments

Radiation therapy side effects are numerous and depend, in part, on which area of the body is being treated. Some common side effects include nausea, hair loss, fatigue, low blood count, skin damage, scarring, diarrhea, swelling and difficulty swallowing.

The majority of these side effects will only last a couple months after the treatment has been completed. Other side effects although more rare can potentially appear six or more months after the treatment has been completed. These later side effects may include, infertility, secondary cancer, lymphedema, joint or mouth problems.

Essential oils can aid the body in healing. Valerie Worwood suggests using Recipe #1 two to three weeks before treatments start, DO NOT use any essential oils during treatments, and then use it for a month after final treatment is completed.

Radiation Treatment Therapy

Recipe #1
  • 10 drops of lavender
  • 5 drops of German Chamomile Oil
  • 5 drops of Roman Chamomile Oil
  • 5 drops of Tagetes Oil
  • 5 drops of Yarrow Oil
  • 2 tsp of vinca infused oil
Combine above ingredients, Massage into entire torso, including the back, abdomen and area of trauma.

Daily Radiation Exposure

Recipe #2
  • 3.5g sea salt
  • 100mL distilled water
  • 10 mL dropper bottle
  • 2 drops of the following Bach Flower Remedies: Cherry Plum, Gentian, Rock Rose, Star of Bethlehem, Vine, Walnut & Wild Oat
Dissolve sea salt into distilled water.

Fill the dropper bottle with the Bach Flower Remedies, top up bottle with sea salt solution.

Add 10-15 drops to a bath, twice a week. People who have been exposed to radiation sources such as X-rays, cobalt therapy or other medical radiation therapies or those that have been contaminated in an escape from a nuclear power station or regularly use equipment that emits low level radiation have seen improvements in their health as a result of using this recipe.

Please remember to talk with your medical professional before using any essential oils before, during or after any radiation treatments

You're Doing it Wrong: 4 Ways to Fix your Shower Routine

Adults spend an average of 8–12 minutes showering every day. Think about that: that’s over an hour a week and 5 hours a month. Whether you like to wake up with a shower or wait until the evening to clean off the day’s grime, you might need to make a few changes to your routine.

Shower HeadWhen it comes to keeping clean, not just any old product will do, so make sure you’re packing the right products. Many commercial soaps and shampoos contain harsh surfactants like sulfates or concerning ingredients like parabens. Young Living’s personal care products not only avoid those ingredients, but they also give you the benefits of pure essential oils.

“Lather, Rinse, Repeat” Doesn’t Hold Water

We’ve all heard the old saying, but shampoo labels are merely telling us to wash our hair more than once. The phrase doesn’t necessarily mean you should “repeat” every day. In fact, unless your hair is oily, you probably only need to wash your hair 2–3 times per week. Gentler shampoos like Young Living’s Lavender Shampoo will get your hair clean without stripping away natural oils.

Don’t Overdo It with Conditioner

For most of us, natural oils keep the hair closest to our scalp sufficiently moisturized. Putting conditioner on your roots can over-moisturize, leaving your hair flat and undercutting your efforts at cultivating full-bodied hair volume. Instead, only apply conditioners like Young Living’s Lavender Conditioner from your hair’s mid-length through the ends. Leave in for 1–2 minutes to give the conditioner time to do its work, and voila! Balanced, more beautiful hair!

Toss Out Your Loofah

When it comes to exfoliating skin, loofahs are a favorite tool. However, since you keep your loofah in the shower, it never really dries out, making it prime real estate for a bacteria colony. Translation: every pass over your skin with the loofah leaves a trail of unwanted bacterial interlopers.

Instead, exfoliate with a homemade sugar scrub. In a small bowl, combine ¼ cup almond or coconut oil, 1 cup brown sugar, and 2 drops of your favorite essential oil, such as a combination of Cedarwood and Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood. For a gentle and effective facial exfoliator, try Satin Facial Scrub, Mint. It will leave your complexion feeling and looking fresh, invigorated, and clean.

Clean Your Face Last

The majority of us are most concerned with the appearance of our face, so it’s understandable that this is a top priority. However, ingredients in other shower products might run onto your face and leave a residue, meaning you could be clogging your pores instead of getting clean! When the time is right, our top-of-the-line facial wash, ART® Gentle Cleanser, uses a mild foaming action that leaves your face feeling clean, soft, and supple.

Dream Catcher Essential Oil is an interesting blend that protects from negative dreams. It will also help to unwind before bed especially when used with lavender.
